Social Media Intergration

Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Tiktok | Pinterest | Stories | Feeds | Content Development & More

Social Media has continued to go from strength to strength in recent years with popular platforms like TikTok, Snapchat and Youtube becoming the most widely used Social Media services amongst younger generations and powerhouse companies like Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc) continuing to grow and play a pivotal role in business marketing strategies.

This has also meant that there has been changes in the way social media is integrated into websites, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) for example has become more independent, choosing to stand alone as the principle point of discovery for businesses and removing the capability of simply integrating their platform, live feeds and stories into third party websites and preferring a link back solution.

If you wanted to embed Google based live feeds like live product and service reviews for example, then in some case an API key is required.

Other major social sharing companies like Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr (to name just a few) all have different methods of integration but can be less restrictive depending on your needs. However, there are a few different solutions available if you want your business or personal social media representation to play an active role in your website content.

Example A

For simpler websites that have limited or no CMS capabilities, individual posts, reviews, videos or social stories could be included into your site via manual selection and then asking the administrator of your site to manually embed the content. You could do this through selecting the basic embed codes associated to every post and applying it to your website (if you have CMS control) or you can set yourself apart and manage your branding and work within the style of your website by creating animated style grids which are linked back to the chosen social media account.

See this example which is linked back to our instagram page.

You could also create light boxes or sliders to display your chosen content and include sharing capabilities, image protection and video

This is a great way of displaying some social media content on your website that can help with your businesses social discovery without having to use a paid subscription platform (outlined in example B)

Example B

For bigger social content driven websites & web stores that share posts and products through many different channels or if you simply want autonomous control, There are many paid subscription social streaming companies to choose from which will allow you to merge & manage your social media accounts and online reviews in one place. however this doesn’t come without limitations depending on what you wish to invest on a monthly or yearly basis.

For example: most companies will provided you with a taster of their product by allowing you to embed one source (Normally Instagram) for free but it will come with their company branding, slower post sync rates of 24hrs or more and an inability to manage how the contents is displayed, so depending on how you have you website page set up it could end up being a long line of social posts when viewing on a phone or tablet. We have set up an example here.

Paid subscription services generally offer multi tier pricing options and can accomodate most popular social media features from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and more, so when subscribing to a paid social management account its important to know what your marketing goals are and what feeds you wish to display on your website to ensure the best value for your business.

Talk to us about whats right for you as in many cases we can build your preferred feeds into your website without the need for a subscription.

Reviews & Intergrated Comments

Integrating reviews from popular sites like Google or Yelp can go along way when a potential client is deciding if they wish to engage your services and this can be achieved in a couple of different ways.

Firstly if you are gaining regular reviews online, you can display the latest (Generally the last 5 from each company) automatically on your website without the need to do anything, we achieve this by registering an API key when building the website and allowing Google or Yelp to publish the latest reviews, good or bad.

If you wish to moderate your reviews before publishing them on your website or if you receive testimonials directly that you wish customers to see, we can build a reviews platform into your website that customers can either post feedback directly to a comments board or much like in the social media (Example A) we can create animated, branded and interesting layouts to manually publish reviews.

Take a look at our reviews page here.

Another way to engage your clients through social media is to connect Facebook comments or Disqus live comment feeds to your website so people are interacting with your website directly.

Social Media Content Development

Its highly likely that over the last 10 years or so you’ve seen a large increase in business or sponsored content arriving in the your personal news feed based on what you enjoy or interact with but how many of this posts stand out or do you remember?

As a business your social media should play a pivotal role in the extension of your branding with a primary focus on adding value. In a heavily congested place its important to engage your clients but not over saturating your followers with poor quality and/or unrelated content as this can have a negative affect.

You should set out a well balanced plan, be authentic and aim for quality over quantity so as your social marketing grows you provide a consistent landscape of your brand values with a clear message so that potential customers who may discover you through your social media channels immediately connect with your brand and click through to your website.
